Board meetings are held three to four times annually at the Cass County Courthouse. MMA officers and committee chairs meet to coordinate the activities of the Association and to prepare for the annual meeting. The final board meeting, of course, is conducted at the annual meeting with the general membership.
The annual meeting has traditionally met in Columbia Missouri, however starting with the 2003 meeting, the location has been moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area. This meeting provides instruction to the general membership on GIS/Mapping methods and techniques and to conduct the general membership business meeting with presentation of awards. Many GIS/Mapping related vendors support and participate in this annual meeting with demonstrations of their products. Of course the meeting provides plenty of time and activities to get to know other mappers from around the state.
